Field Measurement Platform & IEEE Publication
Designed and built an Android application for live GSM/UMTS/LTE network field testing in collaboration with Intel Mobile Communications — monitoring signal quality, cell IDs, and geo-locating call drops against a live web database. Research outcomes were published at the IEEE 77th Vehicular Technology Conference, demonstrating the ability to deliver work of international academic and industry standard from the outset of a technical career.

Investigating Call Drops with Field Measurements on Commercial Mobile Phones
A novel low-cost methodology for investigating call drops using citizen sensing — replacing expensive specialist hardware with an Android application that collects network KPIs, geo-locates call drop events, and stores results in a centralised database visualised on Google Maps. Demonstrated applicability across 2G, 3G and 4G networks, with statistical analysis of signal strength and battery behaviour. Research conducted in collaboration with Intel Mobile Communications.
